Runnymede’s draft Sustainable Community Strategy will be available for consultation from 21 May to 29 June 2012. This document is key to improving the economic and social wellbeing of our borough, and provides the strategic direction for the Local Plan.
Readers will be aware that Runnymede Borough Council (RBC) have granted planning consent to build 12 units on this site at Palmer Crescent (planning ref RU.11/0285). The Palmer Crescent Residents Action Group is registering the "green open space" as a village green. The Action Group ask residents of Ottershaw and the surrounding neighbourhood to help provide them with as much information as possible to support their application.
Support can be provided by printing and completing the evidence form linked here and returning it to:-
Steve Henderson
24 Palmer Crescent,
Ottershaw,
Surrey,
KT16 0HE
The evidence has to span a period of at least 20 years, but not the whole period for a single applicant! So if you have used the open space at all between 1987 and the present date, or if your children indulged in sports and pastimes there, then you will be able to help.
